It has been a while. things are still very difficult but, I am moving along. I am hoping to get a real job soon, I just filled an application for Dunkin' Doughnuts. Now we have to get the people here to play ball...
I have been trying to fight off this Brain Injury for almost 30 years and although some good has come of it a lot of bad has also. There are thing I am going to have to accept are not going to change and I will have to work with things the way they are.
I have been struggling with my walking but, I have been for 30 years. I am on some medications that cause me to think more about everything. This can be good in some aspects yet stressing on others. I will get by, I hope.
This part of rehab is very hard and very lonely. I did bring it all on myself which is even harder on me. If you don't know, one thing about head injury is we spend a lot of time thinking and talking about ourselves.
My name is Jack, I am a motivational speaker who sustained a 'traumatic brain injury' back in 1983.
My wish is that this blog
will be a resource for all families and persons who have sustained TBI and other disabilities to lean on for strength. You can see my show here
